Club Caribbean Hotel.

In July 1969 the hotel was proposed for Salem Beach, Runaway Bay. On reclaimed swamp land. Built by Richard Patrick Salm, with help from Frank Pringle.
In October 1969, 60 one-bedroom circular beach cottages were completed and interior work was being done. Next will be the administration block, which will include a covered terrace, dining room, kitchen stores, offices and other facilities. A swimming pool is also being constructed.
The hotel opened in 1970. From the beginning there was a 'swimsuits optional' beach. It was marketed to local tourists.
In 1992 construction began on the second phase.
The hotel was bought by Royal Decameron, completely refurbished, and in 2002 became the all-inclusive Royal Decameron Club Caribbean, comprising 20 garden suites, 20 yard rooms and 135 private one-bedroom cottages, also a gymnasium, rent-a-car service, disco bar, tennis court, boutique and wedding services.
