Plantation Inn. It originally was part of the sprawling Coconut Grove Estate, owned by Mary Melhado.

• Opened in 1957 as a "sister" hotel to the adjacent Jamaica Inn. It was managed by Cy and Gloria Elkins, and had a successful first year of operations.
• In 1969 the hotel was adding 33 beds. This is taking the form of another floor to the existing two-story structure and the construction of one 3-suite cottage. The hotel was owned by Mr. John Young. Estimated cost is $350,000. The work is to be completed in time for the December opening.
• In August 1986 the inn reported 35% occupancy.
