Sheraton-Kingston Hotel, 81 Knutsford Blvd, then 77 Knutsford Blvd.
- Low-rise buildings opened July 1962 with 202 rooms and 360 beds. Built and owned by the National Hotel and Properties, an arm of the government.
- By 1969 the hotel opened the tower with 200 additional rooms, plus new meeting rooms, shopping arcade, and lobby.
- On September 1, 1979, Sheraton gave up its franchise, and the hotel became the New Kingston Hotel.
- In 1984 it become the Wyndham Kingston, and was using 77 Knutsford Blvd. J$18 million was spent on refurbishing. The hotel will be able to accommodate 700 to 1,000 people at conferences.
- In 1998 the NCB group sells the hotel to Ocean Chimo Limited Jamaica, a division of RHK Capital Inc of Canada.
- In 1999 the hotel becomes the Hilton Kingston.
- On July 1, 2010 it was back to the Wyndham Kingston. The owners announced they will pump some $5 (or $500) million into renovating the property over the next three years.
- In 2011 the hotel was taken over by the banks and placed in receivership. In 2016 the parties were still at odds.
- Closed after a March 14, 2013 fire. The fire broke out in the kitchen and spread to nearby areas, including the ballroom, but was contained before any damage could be done to the southern end of the building. 300 workers lost their jobs.
- After the fire, Ocean Chimo cancels plans for the hotel's auction set for April. It now had 303 rooms.
- In 2016 plans for the transformation of the hotel were shown.
- In 2019 it was being renovated? Looks derelict to me. The pool is gone.
- In October 2022 it was reported that Kevin Hendrickson of the Courtleigh Hotel Group had recently acquired the hotel.
