- The main building originally belonged to Noel Coward until 1952.
- Opened in March 1956.
- In February 1963, the motel was offered for sale, with four acres, for $60,000.
- It became the Tropic Winds in the late 1960s. Breathtaking scenic location. Two pools, rooms with bath. Excellent Jamaica, Hungarian and Italian food.
