Sunspree Hotel/Holiday Inn
- Built by American John Rollins, who developed the Rose Hall property, after purchasing it in 1964.
- In May 1969, construction commenced on the hotel.
- 442 rooms opened June/October 1970. An extension of 116 rooms were to open in October 1971.
- Fully opened early 1971. It had 558 rooms and was getting large group and convention business.
- In 1972, it was The Holiday Inn Hotel. At some point it became the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort.

- In 2002, the hotel was purchased by Kevin Hendrickson.
- The hotel became the Catalonia Montego Bay.
- The hotel suffered catastrophic damage from Category 5 Hurricane Melissa in October 2025, with videos showing roof panels ripped off, interior ceilings collapsed, and debris covering the grounds. The resort sustained extensive structural damage to buildings, including broken windows and water intrusion, leaving the site in ruins. Open in Maps and zoom in.
