Belair Hotel, 23 Caledonia Road, Mandeville.
- In March 1971 work was started on a three-story 42-room hotel (40 double bedrooms and two suites). There will be a swimming pool, conference rooms, bar and coffee shops. There will be a shopping area in the future. On eight acres of land, then it was nearly three acres. It was owned by the hotel division of the Lai Corporation. Future plans also include construction of condominium garden apartments.
- Opened in June 1972. Gleaner advertisements were frequent in the first couple months.
- Events were regularly announced in the Gleaner.
- In September 1978, the Central Region of the Ministry of Agriculture established its headquarters at the former Belair Hotel.
