Burke's Hotel, Northwest corner of King St and North Parade. The site is now a park and bus terminus.

• The hotel opened on January 23, 1897.
• In June 1897 a fellow partook of a couple of Jubilee cocktails at Burke's Hotel.
• The hotel survived the 1907 earthquake, though damaged.
• A 1910 directory of hotels does not list the Burke's.
• In 1911 it was opened up under new management.
• In September 1913 the same ad ran almost daily for a couple weeks. See clipping.
• No more mentions in the Gleaner.
