Park Lodge Hotel, Kingston. A grand stylish hotel. It was in an old brick mansion built by an Englishman named Park. He called it Park Lodge. The hotel had a lodging section for bachelors.
- In 1866 it was the residence of His Honor the Custos.
- Park Lodge was often used in driving instruction.
- The first Gleaner mention as a hotel is 1885.
- In 1888 the hotel was looking to buy one or two horses.
- In 1888 it was larger than the Myrtle Bank (the first one). See clipping on Kingston's Best Hotel.
- The last hotel Gleaner mention is 1907. The hotel was not listed in the 1910 Commercial Directory of Jamaica: Hotels.
