• First classified ad in the Gleaner is November 1935. Mrs. R. McDermott is proprietress.
• In December 1936, they were regularly listed as a Gleaner advertiser, though no ads appear.
• By 1938 the house was mostly permanent residents, and only two bedrooms for transients.
• On June 29, 1939, a tree on the property caught fire, but was quickly extinguished with jets from the chemical fire engine.
• In September 1939, in a classified ad the house is only seeking a permanent guest. Ads for permanent guests appear periodically until early 1950.
• The location appears to now be a shopping centre, but Jamaica street numbers can be flaky in Google Maps.
