The Doric Hotel, 94 East Street, Kingston
- In October 1878, the Alexandra Hotel leased a mansion in Mandeville and opened with nearly 20 acres of land.
- In 1910, the Alexandra House Hotel was at 94 East St.
- Beginning in 1921 the Doric is at 94 East St, being run by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendry. They formerly ran the Montague House Hotel, but their lease there expired.
- Starting in early January 1926 the same small display ad ran daily, continuing through early April.
- Salesmen visiting Jamaica would at times stay at the hotel, advertising their presence.
- On January 2, 1927, Mr. Robert Hendry dies suddenly. See clipping. Mrs. Hendry continues running the hotel.
- In February 1928, the hotel is put up for rent as a family residence or hotel with 11 sleeping rooms.
- In March 1928, Mrs. Ermine Hendry moves to running the Camperdown Great House, Constant Spring Road. She renames it The Doric Hotel East and keeps the phone number.
- The Kingston Doric is still for rent for a short time more.
- In August 1980, the hotel is listed for sale as a going concern. See clipping. (?)
- At 94 East St is now the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, a modern office building.
