The Mandeville Hotel
- Originally the site of a military canteen and armory.
- Opened in 1875 as The Waverly Hotel. Accommodated 100 guests. Owned by A.A. Lindo, the 17-room hotel was operated by Jane Brooks.
- In 1898, it became The Brooks Hotel.
- Then The Mandeville Hotel.
- In 1903 the hotel was enlarged and remodelled.
- The hotel was acquired by Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Bell.
- The hotel was acquired by Mrs. Hilda Gray.
- In 1956, Dr. Lannaman bought the hotel, which was managed by his son William.
- In the mid-1960s a new wing was constructed.
- In 1971 all old buildings were replaced. Only two of the 66 double bedrooms have air conditioning. The others have insect screens. There is one master suite, and nine other suites, all with kitchenettes. There are five budget rooms with balconies overlooking the swimming pool. There will be two dining rooms. The main one with seating capacity for 150, and the auxiliary for 100.
- In October 1986, the hotel was acquired by Mark and Ceceline McIntyre.
