The Ramparts Inn, 3 Rampart Close
- Opened February 1968. The two-story building was designed by owner Mr. Bud Weltscheff, whose wife Lucienne was responsible for the internal decor and the landscaping. See clipping.
- In August 1970 the hotel reached an agreement with the National Workers' Union.
- In November 1972 the Ramparts Inn is listed as being at the corner of Leader Avenue and Queen's Drive. This is the side that is down the hill. This could be the HEART College of Innovation and Technology.
- On April 14, 1982 it was announced that the 22-room inn, which was rented for the past seven years as an apartment building, is to be operated as a hotel, according to the new proprietor Mr. David Cox. See clipping.
- On May 24, 1982, Mr. Howard Coxe was shot dead at his business place, the hotel. The building remained an apartment building?
- For some while Duff's Business College was renting the building, but fell out of grace with the owners and moved to downtown [when?]. Then in September 1989 the college closed the downtown location and left MoBay.
- A November 1990 ad for Econocar Rentals has Ramparts Inn Hotel, using 5 Rampart Close for an address.
- The inn was remodeled into the Jamaica Grandiosa Hotel. The first event mention of the hotel is October 1996.

- Around 2011 the Jamaica prefix is dropped.

- Events continue to be listed until December 2019.

- In 2021 it become the Hotel Grand A View. Yea, who knew that grandiosa stood for grandiose view?
